Stronger, Brighter, Together
We were not able to host the 2021 annual Clothesline Sale of Art. But CAG Artists didn’t stop creating, and are anxious to share their work with you. So with much gratitude to Footwise in downtown Corvallis, we had some of our work on exhibit during the month of July, 2021 in their store window.
Over 30 Corvallis Art Guild artists shared their interpretation of “Stronger, Brighter, Together” in the Footwise window display at 301 SW Madison Ave #100, Corvallis.
Here is a sample of the work Guild artists created this year.
If you see something you like, please don’t hesitate to contact the artist and let them know. We love to hear from you!
We hope you will enjoy the show!
Please wait a moment for it to load below.

Many of the pieces will be on display in the Footwise store window on 3rd Street in Downtown Corvallis during the month of July.
If you are local, take a walk downtown and checkout this beautiful collection of work.
Artist Inspiration: What did you see when you first looked at this piece? A garish assortment of colors? Look closer. This piece was created with caps from expired clinical research lab kits. I started saving the caps when I realized how much waste there is: anyone who works in healthcare knows that there is a LOT of waste. But there is beauty and hope as well.
This piece honors all who have worked throughout this pandemic to find the good: the scientists, healthcare workers, and patients who volunteered to partake in clinical research so that we could find solutions this tragedy. Most patients who volunteer to be in a clinical trial say that the main reason they are doing it is to help others who suffer from similar conditions–to Find the Good in their disease.
I have placed in this piece growing plants that represent LIFE; a waterfall to represent NOURISHMENT that we all need; a flower mandala to represent HOPE. You will also see a black circle: it represents those who struggle to find the good and suffer from despair or grief. The black heart represents those who lost their lives in the pandemic. But these spaces are surrounded by color!
The piece needed a LOT of glue. If it were only so easy to form strong, unbreakable bonds with other people. I was limited in my color choices as well as numbers of caps. Everyone has limits in their lives. My wish is for people to strive to find the beauty in life despite those limitations.

Artist Inspiration: Painted during the early COVID lockdown.. dealing with pandemic emotions, I needed to find a way to express hope. “Home” expresses the center in each of us where we find our home… our refuge, solace, and unconditional acceptance.

Artist Inspiration: During COVID, I was realizing how fortunate we are to be able to experience all the beauty in our world .. I tried to encompass those feelings in one simple image… a bit cliché, but no painter expresses it the same way.. I felt compelled to do these and other large acrylics. These two paintings (Peaceful Valley and Home) are of a very different technique and style than I usually do.. COVID encouraged experimentation for many artists.
