Monthly Programs
At each monthly meeting, we have programs which feature a wide variety of professional artists who explain their work and techniques, as well as other programs of interest to our members. The monthly program is announced in the Brush Strokes Newsletter. Below is a list of upcoming meetings.
Monthly meetings are the first Monday of every month except August by Zoom @ 7 pm. For an invitation, email us. (If the first Monday is a holiday, the meeting will be held on Tuesday.)
Any changes to the location and date of the meetings is announced each month in the Brush Strokes Newsletter. This newsletter is sent directly to member inboxes and is accessible online here.
Our next meeting:

Holiday Cookie Swap & Panel Discussion
Monday, December 5, 2022 @ 7:00pm
Our December Membership meeting will happen face-to-face in a new location – the C3-Corvallis Community Center at 2601 NW Tyler Avenue in Corvallis. This building is between 26th and 27 on NW Tyler Ave, and used to be known as the Chintimini Senior & Community Center. We will meet in the Oak Room at 7:00pm Monday, December 5.
The building is equipped to host face-to-face gatherings and connect using Zoom at the same time. Guild members can participate with our meetings either in person, or at home in their jammies. The building also has lots of well-lit parking, on both the north side and on the east side, where the softball field used to be. (If you take 26th north from Harrison, crossing Tyler will put you straight into the east side parking lot.)
Timing: the physical room will open just a few minutes before 7:00pm. For everyone’s comfort and safety in the midst of this flu/RSV/whatever season, masks are strongly suggested, but not required, and we trust our members to make good choices about their own and their friends’ health. If you are not feeling well the day of the event or have recently been ill, please attend using Zoom. The Zoom session will start at 7:00pm. We will take some time to socialize before the panel discussion.
The cookies: If you are baking-abled, please bring 1-2 dozen of your favorite recipe (or recipes), along with a list of ingredients so those with allergy concerns can stay safe. Serving-sized bags will be provided so you can collect first and eat later, if you wish.
The program: This first of our series intended to help members build their success at sales and exhibition events like the Clothesline Sale of Art will feature a panel discussion with a few of the Guild’s top sellers, and others with expertise and experience to offer. Anyone considering participating in future Guild (or other) sales events should benefit from the discussion.
The future: This event will be the Guild’s first test-run of a “hybrid” in-person and Zoom meeting, which we hope will work so more of our members can participate more actively in Guild events. The pandemic has been hard on everyone’s patience, relationships, and social patterns, and we hope hybrid meetings will move us toward a more “normal,” happy Guild experience. Having never done this before, we might encounter some bumps in the road, and we hope you’ll bear with us as we navigate the learning curve. With everyone’s grace and good will, we will succeed!
Looking forward to seeing you all – one way or another – at this very special event.
Join us by Zoom starting at 6:45 with the link provided earlier in the day by email to current members. Guests are welcome – request an invitation here.
